Over 200 Groups to Stage Coordinated Global Pro-Palestine Demonstrations
More than 200 civil-society organisations from 60 nations will hold simultaneous protests on Saturday, marking the third anniversary of the Gaza conflict.
The Global Alliance for Palestine disclosed that over 200 organisations worldwide will launch a coordinated Global Day of Action on Saturday, the third anniversary of the Gaza war. Participants include civil-society groups, trade unions, student federations and human-rights networks operating in 60 countries, working together with the Anti-Apartheid Movement and SANED. Protest actions are slated for more than 250 locations, with plans to shut down civic squares, encircle government offices and blockade firms tied to Israel’s arms supply.
Cities such as London, Sydney, Berlin, Brussels, Prague, Reykjavik, Athens, Modena, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur and Johannesburg will host demonstrations, while Athens and Modena will extend activities with cultural sit-ins and visual projections. Organiser Anas Altikriti framed the event as a direct response to what he called three years of genocide, urging an end to the siege and demanding accountability for Israel’s actions.
Why it matters
The coordinated protests signal a growing global push for accountability over the Gaza conflict and could pressure governments and corporations linked to the war.
