Pacers CEO Mel Raines Honored on Forbes 50 Over 50 List

Mel Raines, chief executive of Pacers Sports and Entertainment, was selected for Forbes' 50 over 50 roster, appearing in the lifestyle category.

Forbes, in partnership with journalist Mika Brzezinski's Know Your Value program, released its 50 over 50 list, featuring 200 individuals across four categories. Mel Raines, appointed CEO of Pacers Sports and Entertainment in June 2024, was named in the lifestyle segment, which highlights visionaries reshaping entertainment and culture. Raines joins a small cohort of women heading NBA teams and oversees the Pacers, the Fever, the G League's Noblesville Boom and the arena Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The Pacers are valued at $4.2 billion, while the Fever are worth about $500 million, ranking as the third-most valuable WNBA franchise. Raines, a South Bend native and Indiana University alumna, has been with the organization since 2015, previously serving as president and COO and managing the $400 million Gainbridge Fieldhouse renovation.
