Pakatan Harapan still undecided on electoral partnership with Bersatu in Malacca

Pakatan Harapan has not reached a decision on forming an electoral alliance with Bersatu ahead of the Malacca state election.

In the hours before Pakatan Harapan announces its Malacca state election slate, the coalition remains uncertain about partnering with Bersatu. Senior leaders are still discussing the possible form of cooperation, and no formal pact has been signed. Bersatu is expected to field only a limited number of seats, pending Harapan's decision, and has confirmed no further developments.

The upcoming announcement will take place outside Hang Jebat Stadium, while internal sources note that PKR, DAP and Amanah have already settled seat allocations among themselves. The uncertainty follows earlier mixed messages from Harapan chairperson Adly Zahari and deputy chairperson Khoo Poay Tiong regarding a "Harapan Plus" alliance. The broader political landscape in Malacca is shifting, with BN and PAS now allied and Harapan preparing to contest the election independently of those groups.
