Pakistan cyber unit dismantles international child porn ring involving father
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency announced the breakup of an overseas child-porn network that included a father accused of filming and selling videos of his own young children.
At a press briefing in Islamabad, NCCIA Additional Director Mohammad Shoaib Khan disclosed that investigators had dismantled an international child-pornography network that involved a father producing indecent videos of his four- and five-year-old children. The illicit content was circulated in hidden Telegram channels and paid for with cryptocurrency, and some recordings contained disturbing animal-abuse scenes. The alleged gang leader, a resident of Skardu, was taken into custody with assistance from overseas law-enforcement partners, while further raids in Islamabad, Multan and South Punjab aim to capture additional operatives.
Khan also referenced earlier NCCIA successes, including the arrest of a suspect who used Instagram to lure children aged six to fourteen and sold the footage via WhatsApp groups. The agency reiterated its zero-tolerance stance, urging the public to safeguard personal data and report cybercrimes through its 24-hour helpline.
