Inspectors uncovered hidden compartments containing over 2,800 kilograms of narcotics, with an estimated street value of about $750 million. The Director General of Public Relations highlighted the operation as evidence of the navy's ongoing surveillance and commitment to regional security.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf commended the officers and crew for their dedication and professionalism. This operation adds to previous seizures, including around two tonnes of drugs near Gwadar in June and a multi-hundred-million-dollar bust in the Arabian Sea last October.
