Palestinian groups accused of poisoning sheep in Samaria for the 17th time this year
Israel's Foreign Ministry says Palestinian attackers have deliberately poisoned livestock in Judea and Samaria 17 times this year, targeting Jewish shepherds.
Israel's Foreign Ministry reported that Palestinian attackers have intentionally poisoned livestock across Judea and Samaria for the 17th time this year, seeking to harm Jewish shepherds and undermine their economic base. The most recent case occurred at Or Nachman Farm in the Binyamin region of Samaria, close to the Arab village of al-Mughayyir. The ministry characterized the poisonings as a form of calculated cruelty, accusing the perpetrators of using innocent animals to cause distress to their caretakers.
The Judea and Samaria Situation Room confirmed the location and noted that most of the poisonings this year originated from the same village. Officials warned that such attacks constitute a vicious act of violence with no justification.
Why it matters
The alleged livestock poisonings heighten tensions in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and threaten the economic stability of shepherd communities.
