Pandora launches $150 million jewellery factory in Ho Chi Minh City
Danish jewellery brand Pandora opened a $150 million plant in Ho Chi Minh City, its largest ever and its first site outside Thailand.
Pandora inaugurated a $150 million jewellery manufacturing complex in Ho Chi Minh City, marking its fourth worldwide factory and the first outside Thailand. Situated on a 7.5-hectare plot, the plant will eventually house 7,000 workers and raise total production capacity by about 50 %, with a maximum output of 60 million items per year. At launch the Vietnamese site will account for roughly 15 % of Pandora’s capacity, a share expected to grow to one-third by 2030 as the company seeks to spread risk and improve supply-chain resilience.
CEO Berta de Pablos-Barbier highlighted the location’s skilled labour, jewellery-making heritage and supportive infrastructure. The factory earned LEED Gold status, runs solely on renewable power and will use recycled silver and gold, with plans to explore on-site solar generation.
Why it matters
The factory expands Pandora’s production, creates thousands of jobs and reduces reliance on a single manufacturing hub.
