In a central Strasbourg preschool, seven children said they were victims of sexual acts, including digital penetration, allegedly carried out by a five-year-old girl during the 2025-26 academic year. Parents, upset by what they describe as the school's minimisation of the events, organized a protest by keeping their children at home. They demand clarification on why earlier reports were not acted upon and why the alleged perpetrator continues to attend the same school.
The school director acknowledged past inappropriate behaviour and the rectorate has ordered an administrative investigation and provided psychological assistance to some pupils. The municipal authorities said they are taking the alerts seriously and will implement reinforced monitoring of the schoolyard and sanitary facilities for the 2026-2027 school year.
