The dismissal follows a May 2026 investigation that resulted in the arrest of 16 employees from three elite schools—Saint-Dominique, Rapp and La Rochefoucauld—in the 7th arrondissement for rape, sexual assault and related crimes. Over ten families filed complaints that year. One father, whose child was allegedly abused at Saint-Dominique and who reported it, said his child now needs psychological support and that several parents are requesting school psychologists.
