Particle launches Radar to make podcast content searchable for AI and businesses
Particle introduced Radar, an API-driven service that transcribes and indexes podcasts, allowing AI agents and firms to search and receive alerts on audio content.
Particle, founded by former Twitter engineers, shifted its focus to a new product called Radar, which turns spoken podcast content into searchable data. Radar transcribes more than 130,000 shows—including all Apple Top 200 podcasts—adding about 20,000 episodes daily, and tags speakers and entities such as people, brands and topics. The service supplies AI agents, hedge funds, and data resellers with an API that can deliver real-time alerts, clip extracts, ad tracking and bias analysis, customizable through filters and delivered via email, Slack or webhooks.
Partners like Exa already use the platform, and the company reports strong demand from financial firms seeking data not visible to standard web crawlers. Radar is priced at $29 per month per seat, with a $399 business tier for up to 20 seats and bespoke pricing for larger API users. Future plans include extending the technology to other audio formats such as YouTube videos and news clips.
Why it matters
Radar gives businesses and AI tools access to searchable podcast data, unlocking insights from a rapidly growing audio medium.
