The woman, named as Mamoni Kharat, is accused of damaging a monitor, a keyboard and a passport-swiping machine, with the total cost of the equipment estimated at Rs 49,000. The episode unfolded at about 6 p.m. on Thursday in the presence of Central Industrial Security Force personnel, IndiGo representatives and staff from the Airports Authority of India.
Airport authorities have requested that police take appropriate action and seek reimbursement from the passenger. A video purportedly showing the altercation was posted online and went viral, highlighting the chaotic scene and the broken equipment.
