Patek Philippe unveils minimalist Calatrava and modern annual calendar at Watches and Wonders

Patek Philippe introduced a new white-gold Calatrava 7200/50G-012 and a refreshed 4946G-001 annual calendar at the 2026 Watches and Wonders exhibition.

Patek Philippe, the oldest independent family-owned watchmaker founded in 1839, used the Watches and Wonders 2026 exhibition to launch two notable pieces. The women’s Calatrava 7200/50G-012 is an ultra-minimalist time-only watch in white gold, featuring a sunburst dial, Breguet numerals and no seconds hand, reflecting a Bauhaus-inspired aesthetic. The brand also unveiled the 4946G-001 annual calendar moon-phase, housed in a polished 18-karat white-gold case with a blue-gray satin-brushed dial and a calfskin strap that mimics denim, driven by the calibre 26-330 S QA LU movement first seen in the 2023 Aquanaut and delivering a 45-hour power reserve.

Thierry Stern highlighted the reliance on skilled artisans, and Candy Udell noted the watch’s neutral colour makes it highly wearable. The annual calendar complication, originally created by Patek Philippe in 1996, marks its 30th anniversary with this contemporary reinterpretation.

Why it matters

The launch showcases Patek Philippe's blend of heritage and modern design, influencing luxury watch trends.
