Paul Feig in Early Talks to Direct New Italian Job Sequel for Paramount
Paul Feig is negotiating with Paramount Pictures to helm a follow-up to the 2003 heist film The Italian Job.
The filmmaker has entered preliminary discussions with Paramount about directing a new installment of The Italian Job, the studio’s 2003 action hit starring Mark Wahlberg and others. Paramount is currently seeking a screenwriter for the project. The original 2003 version, directed by F. Gary Gray, was itself based on the 1969 classic starring Michael Caine. Feig’s upcoming slate also includes a sequel to his 2025 thriller The Housemaid, slated for a late-2027 release by Lionsgate.
