PB Health targets 150 hospitals in over 50 Indian cities with ₹10,000 crore expansion plan
PB Health, the healthcare arm of PB Fintech, announced plans to build a network of 150 hospitals across more than 50 cities in India, seeking ₹10,000 crore in funding.
PB Health, backed by PB Fintech, disclosed an ambition to create a chain of 150 hospitals spanning more than 50 Indian cities, which would provide between 15,000 and 20,000 beds. Starting from its two current sites in Gurugram and Noida, the firm expects to operate four hospitals by March 2027 and expand into Delhi, Faridabad and other Tier II and Tier III locations. Funding for the rollout is projected at ₹10,000 crore, with ₹2,000 crore already raised through seed capital and an anticipated ₹4,000 crore to be secured this financial year, while the remainder may involve higher debt.
The growth strategy mixes greenfield builds with brownfield acquisitions, and after the first ten hospitals the focus will shift to operating and managing existing facilities. PB Health will employ AI tools for voice-based clinical documentation and has bought preventive-care startup Fitterfly to identify high-risk patients early. Revenue is expected to reach a ₹500 crore run-rate by FY27, with break-even targeted for March, and a potential IPO is on the horizon within the next five to six years.
Why it matters
The plan could reshape India's private healthcare landscape and influence insurance partnerships across the country.
