Pedestrian killed in vehicle collision on Pakuranga Road, Auckland

At approximately 9:05 p.m. on Monday, authorities were alerted to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Pakuranga Road in the Pakuranga Heights area of East Auckland. Police reported that the individual succumbed to injuries at the scene despite immediate medical assistance. The Serious Crash Unit arrived to conduct a detailed inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Hato Hone St John confirmed that an ambulance was sent to the location. Photographs taken later showed police tape across the roadway near a bus stop and a dark-coloured vehicle with a shattered front windshield parked nearby. Investigations remain ongoing.
