Penn State unveils Paterno Family Football Experience at Beaver Stadium

Penn State revealed plans to open a permanent museum area inside Beaver Stadium called the "Paterno Family Football Experience Room," slated to open this week. The exhibit will showcase Joe Paterno’s former office desk, memorabilia, trophies and an interactive timeline of the football program’s milestones. One outlet director Pat Kraft emphasized that the space is intended to safeguard the sport’s history and present it in a considered manner that connects past traditions with the team’s future.

The installation follows the removal of Paterno’s statue after revelations that he and other officials were aware of assistant coach Jerry Sandusky’s abuse. The Paterno family has settled all pending legal claims with the university. Penn State’s upcoming season will launch under new head coach Matt Campbell with a game against Marshall.
