Petter Stordalen's former aide accused of embezzling multi-million kroner

A former personal assistant to Petter Stordalen has been charged with large-scale embezzlement after allegedly misusing the billionaire’s private credit card.

Authorities detained a former employee of Petter Stordalen’s Strawberry Group in August on charges of severe embezzlement. The individual, identified as Stordalen’s personal assistant, allegedly accessed the entrepreneur’s private credit card and diverted multiple millions of kroner. He has pleaded guilty to the allegations and was terminated from his position when the irregularities were uncovered.

The suspect’s legal counsel, Stordalen, and the Strawberry Group have declined to comment further. Communications director Bettina Flatland told VG that the matter is being handled by police and is strictly a personnel issue. The investigation continues without additional public statements from the parties involved.
