PGA Tour Charities to be revamped with $13 million Finchem donation

Ahead of the 2028 season, the PGA Tour revealed plans to redesign its charitable arm, creating a dedicated channel for community investment that involves players, partners, events and fans. Former commissioner Tim Finchem and his wife Holly announced a $13 million contribution to fund the revamped effort, complementing Brooks Koepka’s $5 million donation made upon his return from LIV Golf. Laura Neal, the Tour’s executive vice president of strategic philanthropy, described the move as a “legacy-defining, transformative gift.”
A player advisory council, led by Lucas Glover, will provide guidance to ensure the new structure builds on past tournament-level charitable work. The initiative is set to roll out in 2028 alongside a new two-tiered competitive format.
