Philadelphia has launched a whipped cream cheese mixed with Mike’s Hot Honey, offering a sweet-and-spicy taste that aligns with rising consumer interest in such flavors. The product is initially available solely at Walmart, with a nationwide expansion slated for January 2027. Kraft Heinz is allocating about $700 million this year toward product development and promotional efforts to revive its market share.
The company notes a 230% surge in sweet-and-spicy menu items over the past four years, especially among millennials and Gen Z. Marketing vice-president Maddy Zingle highlighted the brand’s 150-year legacy and its need to evolve with current flavor trends. The rollout coincides with other new offerings, including a limited-time Cranberry Orange Cream Cheese and a permanent Salted Caramel variant, as Kraft Heinz seeks volume growth in North America.
