Philippine authorities repatriate remains of two seafarers killed in Hormuz attack
The bodies of two Filipino crew members who died after an Iranian strike on the M/V SIDR in the Strait of Hormuz on Sept. 2 have been returned to the Philippines.
The Department of Migrant Workers brought home the remains of two Filipino seafarers killed in the Sept. 2 attack on the M/V SIDR. Their families will receive government assistance. Sixteen other Filipino crew from the same vessel were repatriated on Sept. 8. Officials are probing the staffing agency after learning one victim had invoked his “refuse to sail” right over the Hormuz passage.
