The Department of one outlet said the mission aims to strengthen diplomatic relations, boost trade and investment, and enhance cooperation in sectors vital to the Philippines' development. The timing is significant as the country prepares to transfer its ASEAN chairmanship to Singapore.
Marcos will attend the 24th Forbes Global CEO Conference, presenting Philippine investment opportunities to global business leaders. He will also visit the Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Institute to learn about the island nation's nuclear technology and safety practices. This will be Marcos' sixth trip to Singapore, following a July visit that focused on ASEAN chairmanship matters.
