Philippine Senate to decide vote threshold for Vice President Duterte's impeachment
Senator-judges will convene on Wednesday to debate the number of votes required to convict Vice President Sara Duterte in her impeachment trial.
The Senate panel, acting as judges, will hear oral arguments on whether the conviction threshold should stay at 16 votes. Each side has 15 minutes to present its case, after which the judges may pose questions. The discussion precedes a vote on the motion to set or change the required vote count before the trial resumes.
