Philippines aviation authority says Laos-seized jet never flew over its airspace
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines confirmed that the Learjet 55 flagged in Laos for carrying 521 kg of crystal meth never entered Philippine airspace.
A private Learjet 55 registered as N73GP was seized in Laos after authorities found 521 kilograms of shabu on board. The Philippines' civil aviation regulator checked its flight logs and found no record of the aircraft operating in or over the country. The agency stated that no flights under that registration appear in its database. The seizure occurred at Luang Prabang International Airport on October 1. No further links to Philippine operations were identified.
