Pierre Le Manh steps down as PMI President and CEO, Johannes Heinlein named interim leader
Pierre Le Manh announced his departure as President and CEO of the Project Management Institute, with Chief Growth Officer Johannes Heinlein taking over on an interim basis.
Pierre Le Manh confirmed his exit from the President and CEO position at the Project Management Institute, where he has served since September 2022. During his tenure, he oversaw strategic development, acquisitions, and preparations for AI-driven changes in the profession. The board thanked him for strengthening the institute’s leadership and global momentum.
Johannes Heinlein, currently Chief Growth Officer, will assume interim responsibility for the top role, bringing experience from Harvard, MIT, and Deloitte. The board will launch a formal search for a permanent President and CEO and expects to share further details soon. Both leaders expressed optimism about maintaining PMI’s worldwide influence in project management.
