Pinkbox Doughnuts opens a second Utah shop, drawing huge crowds
Pinkbox Doughnuts launched its first Salt Lake County location on State Street in Sandy, attracting long lines similar to its earlier Utah opening.
Pinkbox Doughnuts, a Las Vegas-originated gourmet doughnut chain acquired by Amazing Brands, opened its first Salt Lake County outlet on State Street in Sandy this week. The grand opening saw extensive lines, echoing the response to its earlier Northern Utah location in American Fork where customers even camped overnight. Michael Crandall, chief business officer of Amazing Brands, described the concept as an experiential brand that offers fresh, premium doughnuts daily.
Utah was chosen as the first state outside Nevada for expansion, following a successful launch in St. George. The Sandy shop features a new “Pinkycade,” an arcade area designed to enhance the whimsical atmosphere. Reviewers praised the variety and quality of the doughnuts, noting flavors such as maple bar, Biscoff Cookie Monster, and Vegas Cream.
Why it matters
The opening shows how niche food concepts can generate strong local demand and drive brand growth.
