Pinterest appoints former Amazon exec James Dibbo as new chief financial officer
Pinterest announced that James Dibbo, a longtime Amazon finance leader, will become its CFO on October 26, succeeding Julia Donnelly.
Pinterest disclosed that James Dibbo will assume the role of chief financial officer on October 26, following the departure of Julia Donnelly. Dibbo, aged 56, brings extensive experience from Amazon, where he managed financial operations for the company's Ads business, Prime Video, and Amazon MGM Studios. Bill Ready, Pinterest's chief executive, praised Dibbo's ability to lead large, complex global operations and build high-performing teams.
Donnelly, who joined Pinterest in 2023, is exiting to pursue a new opportunity at a private early-stage firm. Shares of Pinterest fell roughly one percent in after-hours trading after the announcement. The appointment occurs as Pinterest forecasts slower third-quarter revenue growth while competing with dominant digital advertising players such as Meta's Instagram and Facebook.
