PKOl chief Radosław Piesiewicz detained in Warsaw on corruption charges

Radosław Piesiewicz, head of PKOl, was taken into custody in Warsaw and faces accusations of paid protection and aiding Zondacrypto creditors, which he denies.

Journalist Justyna Grzesiak conveyed the detention decision, which lawyer Jędrzej Kupczyński later confirmed. The Silesian branch of the National Prosecutor's Office charged Piesiewicz with paid protection and facilitating a group of Zondacrypto creditors, allegedly harming others due to looming insolvency. He maintains his innocence.
