The PM CARES Fund, established after the Covid pandemic to manage emergency situations, has published its audited financials for the 2024-25 fiscal year. Total receipts for that period reached Rs 8,452.95 crore, an increase from Rs 7,188.63 crore recorded in the previous year. The audit indicates the fund’s final balance as of 31 March stood at Rs 8,452 crore.

These numbers were disclosed on 18 August 2026, providing a transparent view of the fund’s resources. The fund remains a government-controlled pool intended for disaster response and other urgent needs. The release reflects ongoing efforts to improve visibility of public-sector finances.
