PNL deputy calls out double standard over PSD leader's resignation demands

Dragoș Pîslaru, serving as the first vice-president of the PNL, posted on Facebook that PSD head Sorin Grindeanu is now pressuring Siegfried Mureșan to resign from the European Parliament to demonstrate his commitment to the prime-ministerial post. Pîslaru contrasted this with Grindeanu's silence in July when President Nicușor Dan appointed Eugen Tomac, a PSD member, as prime minister, even though Tomac also held a seat in the European Parliament.

He labeled Grindeanu's request a contradictory and absurd double standard that only fuels the ongoing political turmoil, which also involves the AUR party. The comment underscores tensions between the governing coalition and opposition forces over parliamentary representation and cabinet composition.
