Polaroid teams with Pokémon for three limited-edition instant cameras
Polaroid and Pokémon have unveiled three new themed instant-camera models to mark the franchise’s 30th anniversary, with pre-orders opening on August 25.
To celebrate Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, Polaroid is releasing a trio of specially designed instant cameras. The lineup includes a Sylveon-themed Polaroid Go Generation 3 with a pink-white body and ribbon-inspired strap, and a Pikachu-themed Go version in yellow with a tail-shaped strap. A larger Polaroid Now Generation 3 model adopts the red, white and black palette of a Pokéball, complete with a Pokéball-shaped shutter button.
All three cameras feature the enhanced flash, zoomed-in lens and improved autofocus systems of the third-generation series. The collection also offers themed instant-film packs, a Pokéball-shaped case, a photo album and a strap, while a dedicated website lets owners catalog their items. Pre-orders begin on August 25, with shipments slated for October 5.
