Police and forensic teams swarm former Mini Fingers Day Nursery in Salford

Police, forensic units and sniffer dogs gathered at the Mini Fingers Day Nursery in Salford after the facility announced a permanent closure.

Mini Fingers Day Nursery in Salford confirmed it would close for good after informing parents of a collapsed drain and vermin issues. Since Wednesday night, Greater Manchester Police have maintained a presence outside the building. This morning, several police vehicles, including Tactical Aid Unit vans and a CSI unit, were seen at the location, accompanied by an ambulance transporting sniffer dogs.

The scene is on Liverpool Road in Irlam, near the former nursery site. No official explanation for the police activity has been provided, and the nursery's manager reiterated staff devastation over the closure. Parents were previously told the owner deemed the business financially untenable.
