Police and tax investigators conduct raid at Hungary’s National Oncology Institute
Police and tax investigators entered the National Oncology Institute as part of a house-search operation, officials said.
On Tuesday morning, investigators from the National Investigation Office and the National Tax and Customs Administration carried out a raid on the National Oncology Institute. The institute confirmed it is reviewing the legal basis of a medical equipment purchase, but declined further comment. Health Minister Zsolt Hegedüs said the probe was triggered by a report and is being handled by the National Hospital Directorate and the State Secretariat for inpatient and outpatient care, without revealing additional details.
