Police appeal for tips as two 13-year-old boys remain missing in Espoo

West Uusimaa police have been unable to locate two 13-year-old boys who disappeared in Espoo on Wednesday. Despite a flood of tips from the community, investigators have not identified any credible leads. Crime commissioner Jyrki Kallio said the four-night disappearance is unusually long for youths and that there is no indication of a criminal element at this stage.

Officers think the boys could be in the broader Helsinki region, perhaps staying with friends or relatives. The police are urging anyone with information to call emergency number 112 and are appealing directly to the boys to reveal their whereabouts as their families grow increasingly worried. Physical descriptions of the youths and one boy’s clothing and backpack have been released to aid the search.
