Police chase in Los Angeles ends with crash that mangles parked cars

A LAPD pursuit early Wednesday night ended when a silver Toyota Corolla lost control, striking several parked vehicles and injuring the driver.

The Los Angeles Police Department launched a pursuit just after midnight on Wednesday, tracking a silver Toyota Corolla that was suspected of reckless driving near Imperial Highway and Main Street. The chase concluded near the intersection of Wadsworth Avenue and Imperial when the driver failed to navigate a curve, causing the car to slam into a line of parked vehicles. Footage captured at least five cars being hit, with one’s roof sheared off and another’s rear bumper and trunk collapsed.

Emergency responders transported the driver, who was bleeding from his face, to a hospital while he remained in handcuffs. Police charged him with felony evading. The incident was documented by KTLA and OnScene.TV, but the suspect’s identity has not been disclosed.
