Police Deploy Divers to Retrieve Testicles Dumped in Bhopal Lakes
Investigators are sending dive teams to Upper Lake and Lower Lake in Bhopal to recover two testicles allegedly discarded by a gang that killed a 16-year-old boy.
The homicide investigation, sparked by an Instagram reel suggesting high prices for human testicles abroad, involved a 20-year-old BBA student who recruited four accomplices and murdered a 16-year-old boy who sold pens and keyrings near Iqbal Maidan and Moti Masjid. After keeping the organs chilled on a terrace for two days, the gang could not secure a buyer and allegedly disposed of the testicles in Upper Lake and Lower Lake, according to statements to police.
ACP Santosh Patel is leading the probe, and the suspects have been remanded to pinpoint the exact dumping spots. Divers are set to begin searches on Wednesday, aiming to retrieve the small pieces of evidence from the murky depths. Investigators have also seized medical props the alleged ringleader bought online and are questioning local contacts who may have been approached for a sale. No link to a larger organ-trafficking network has been established so far.
