Police hunt lorry driver after fatal crash kills married couple in Sepang

Sepang police chief Norhizam Bahaman reported that a husband and wife were traveling from Dengkil toward Putrajaya when, at about 5 p.m., their car collided with the back of a lorry whose registration and make could not be identified. Witnesses said the lorry left the scene immediately after the impact. The husband, a government technician in his 40s, and his wife, a private-university employee in her 30s, sustained critical head and leg injuries and were declared dead on the spot by an assistant medical officer, leaving behind a seven-year-old son.

Police checks showed both drivers held valid licences. The case is being pursued under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving, and investigators are appealing for information to locate the lorry driver.
