Police Identify Mother of Newborn Found Dead in Sydney Bin
Police have identified the 24-year-old mother of the newborn boy discovered in a rubbish bin in Auburn, Sydney, three weeks after the infant was found.
The infant was located in a bin at an Auburn unit complex on August 31, and investigators believe he had been alive for only about 36 hours. After reviewing CCTV footage and issuing a public appeal, detectives pinpointed the child's mother. She was taken to hospital on Tuesday, is being questioned, and has not been arrested.
