When police were alerted to the disappearance of two 13-year-old children in Vâlcea, units from multiple rural police stations, the city police, public order services, criminal investigations and the county gendarmerie were mobilised. The search effort hinged on Luna, the criminalistics service’s tracking dog, whose nose led officers into a thickly vegetated area roughly one kilometre from where the teens had left.
