Police officer critically wounded in terrorist vehicle attack near Modi'in checkpoint
A police officer in his 30s was seriously injured during a terrorist ramming at the Bell Checkpoint on Route 443 near Modi’in, and the attacker was killed by security forces.
A police officer from the Judea and Samaria District, aged in his 30s, was gravely wounded in a terrorist vehicle-ramming at the Bell Checkpoint on Route 443 within the Binyamin Region close to Modi’in. Security forces operating there shot and killed the attacker shortly after the incident. The injured officer sustained a head injury and was attended first by United Hatzalah responders Itzik Kara and Netanel Cohen, who administered respiratory aid, life-saving drugs, bandaging and immobilization on the scene.
He was then evacuated by ambulance to Sha’are Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he remains in a serious and unstable state. The incident underscores the persistent threat of lone-wolf attacks and the rapid emergency response capabilities of Israeli security and medical services.
