Police probe unidentified body found in tire storage amid boat tragedy

During a press briefing, Selangor Police Chief Shazeli Kahar said investigators have yet to confirm the identity of a corpse found in a tire storage area and no family members have reported missing relatives. He mentioned that past cases have involved bodies discovered in similar storage locations, but cautioned against drawing conclusions until the inquiry is complete. Police are also tracking down the owner and crew of a fishing vessel implicated in a recent tragedy that left four anglers alive, two confirmed fatalities and one person still unaccounted for.

Survivors identified include Mohd Shairazi Abdul Aziz, Mohd Rizal Mohamad Sadali, Muhd Hamiszar Punirain and Zulfikalnain Awang. The deceased are Mohamad Shahril Abd Rahman and Muhammad Ridzuan Ruhaizat, while Raja Mohd Rozi Raja Mohamud remains missing. Officials continue to gather statements from witnesses and survivors to finalize the investigation.
