Police release CCTV of two suspects after 13-year-old raped in London park

On August 1, 2024, a 13-year-old girl reported being enticed from Whitechapel Road into Weavers Fields in Bethnal Green, where she was sexually assaulted. Metropolitan Police investigators have now released CCTV showing two men - one wearing a black shirt and blue trousers, the other in a blue zip-up jacket - in hopes the public can identify them. The victim’s parents issued a statement describing the lasting fear and loss of confidence the attack has caused their daughter.
Detective Chief Inspector Anna Deighton confirmed the inquiry remains active, with forensic examinations and witness interviews already undertaken.
