Police seize large haul of Erimin 5 pills and detain two suspects at Kuching airport
Authorities at Kuching International Airport confiscated a substantial shipment of Erimin 5 tablets and arrested two men from Miri.
Acting Sarawak police commissioner Saifullizan Ishak announced that a sizable cache of Erimin 5 tablets was seized at Kuching International Airport, leading to the arrest of two men aged 25 and 39 from Miri. The Narcotics Crime Investigation Department team discovered the suspects had been moving the drugs from Johor Bahru to Kuching via domestic flights, earning a set sum per shipment. The younger detainee tested positive for methamphetamine, amphetamine and benzodiazepine, whereas the older individual’s test was negative.
Background checks revealed prior criminal records for both men. They were held in remand from September 30 to October 7 and then charged under the Dangerous Drugs Act, an offence punishable by death, life imprisonment, or corporal punishment. Police also indicated they are tracking the individual who hired the pair and are pursuing additional arson investigations across Sarawak.
