Police seize nearly RM1 million worth of subsidised diesel from five trucks
Marine police confiscated diesel, storage tanks and equipment from five lorries after a tip-off about misuse of subsidised fuel.
Following a confidential tip, marine police in region two inspected two trucks on Jalan Penaga and discovered diesel stored in rear tanks. A Malaysian man guided officers to three additional trucks, leading to the detention of a 50-year-old suspected distributor. Authorities seized 24 rectangular tanks, two electric pumps, hoses and the five vehicles, then handed everything to the domestic trade and cost of living ministry’s Johor chapter.
