Police shoot armed individual outside Tuttlingen town hall, 27-year-old killed

Police in Tuttlingen used live fire on a suspect who had drawn a weapon near the town hall, resulting in the death of a 27-year-old man.

On Thursday midday, police in Tuttlingen, Baden-Württemberg, opened fire on an individual who allegedly brandished a weapon near the town hall and on Helfereistraße. Five shots were heard by witnesses, and the suspect, identified as a 27-year-old male, was found on the ground and unsuccessfully revived. A spokesperson for the Landeskriminalamt Baden-Württemberg confirmed the use of firearms and that the case is now under their investigation.

The Rathaus and surrounding streets have been sealed off, and police issued a WhatsApp warning urging people to avoid the area. Later messages indicated that there is no further threat to the public, and additional details are expected later in the day.
