Polish army unveils new field uniform after more than three decades
The 1st Legion Infantry Division in Ciechanów presented a completely redesigned combat uniform for Polish soldiers, featuring lighter material and a new camouflage pattern.
On Monday, the headquarters of the 1st Legion Infantry Division in Ciechanów showcased the new field uniform that will replace the model used for the past 33 years. The updated attire incorporates a lighter, tougher material and a fresh camouflage scheme named K-03 Ryś, offered in five colour options and tailored for both male and female soldiers. The Ministry of Defence announced that the design was created and trialed in collaboration with active personnel to meet their operational needs.
Production will take place in Poland, ensuring domestic supply. Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz described the rollout as a revolutionary improvement for the Polish Armed Forces, emphasizing the priority of soldier safety, preparation, and comfort. He also noted that existing stockpiles will be used while the transition proceeds efficiently over the coming months and years.
