Polish government allocates over 1.13 billion zł for public-building energy upgrades
Seventy-five projects received funding for energy-saving renovations of public facilities, with total investment exceeding 1.13 billion zł.
Poland has approved funding for 75 energy-efficiency projects targeting public-sector buildings, with the overall investment surpassing 1.13 billion zł. Fifty-eight agreements were concluded under the FENX.01.01 Efektywność energetyczna action, encompassing measures such as thermal retrofitting, modern heating and ventilation systems, LED lighting, energy-management tools and renewable-energy installations. The Krajowa Administracja Skarbowa will implement 36 projects, the Państwowa Straż Pożarna nine, higher-education institutions eleven and the Police seven.
Funding also reaches sanitary-epidemiological stations, provincial offices, research institutes and the Szpital Wojskowy w Szczecinie. Dorota Zawadzka-Stępniak said the upgrades will lower energy consumption, cut greenhouse-gas emissions and reduce building-maintenance costs, benefiting both institutions and their users, including people with disabilities.
