Polish households and firms increasingly adopt AI, internet and e-commerce services

New statistics show that AI use is highest among Polish youths, while internet penetration and online shopping continue to grow across the country.

According to the latest data, Polish citizens aged 16-24 lead in artificial-intelligence usage, while the proportion of users declines markedly among older respondents. Internet connectivity is now available to virtually every household, with modest gains in both fixed and mobile broadband subscriptions. Among enterprises, AI applications are concentrated in marketing and sales functions, and also support office work and managerial decisions.

Almost all firms have internet access, most via fixed broadband, and more than half of employees can work online. Online shopping is widespread, with a growing share of consumers purchasing goods and services over the internet, especially in urban areas, though rural uptake is also rising. Cloud computing services are used by a majority of companies, with email, file storage and office software being the most popular offerings.

Why it matters

The data highlights Poland's rapid digital transformation, affecting consumers, workers and businesses nationwide.
