Polish Post signs three-year collective labor agreement guaranteeing wage floor and annual raises

Poczta Polska’s board approved a new collective labor contract that ensures salaries stay at least at the minimum wage level and receive yearly adjustments.

On 21 October, Poczta Polska’s management signed a three-year collective labor agreement following four months of talks with over 50 trade unions. The deal covers all employees except board members, supervisors, directors and consultants, guaranteeing a base salary not lower than the legal minimum and an annual wage indexation independent of minimum-wage shifts, promotions or hour changes. Workers employed for the full calendar year will obtain an additional annual allowance paid by February, and long-service awards will be granted at 15-year intervals up to 45 years.

The agreement also raises the employer’s contribution to the employee pension scheme, improves retirement severance tiers and establishes a profit-sharing pool. President Magdalena Gaj said the pact aims to calm staff tensions and support the company’s new development strategy, taking effect on 1 January 2027.

Why it matters

It secures stable pay and benefits for postal workers while giving the company predictable labor costs.
