Polish-registered truck seized with 100 kg of amphetamine and multiple other drugs hidden in steel
Customs officers uncovered a large drug shipment concealed inside steel structures on a Polish-registered truck, seizing 100 kg of amphetamine along with cocaine, hashish, methamphetamine and marijuana.
Customs officials inspected a Polish-registered truck in November after the driver declared a load of steel constructions. A scanner showed anomalies, prompting the deployment of the drug-sniffing dog Vilja, which signaled the presence of illegal substances. Officers then opened the steel frames and discovered a multi-drug cache: 100 kg of amphetamine, 15 kg of cocaine, 1 kg of hashish, 1 kg of methamphetamine, and 150 g of marijuana.
Joachim Olson, head of the relevant customs division, noted that such a large amphetamine seizure is rare and points to professional traffickers with significant economic power. The amphetamine portion alone represented the biggest single amphetamine confiscation for the customs agency in 2025, accounting for a substantial share of the year's total 144 kg seizure. Authorities emphasized that intercepting shipments at the border is crucial to inflicting financial losses on drug networks.
