Polish security chief says no written CIA report exists, only oral briefing
Bartosz Grodecki, head of Poland's National Security Bureau, told a radio program that no written CIA report was produced and that information was conveyed verbally to the president.
In a Saturday appearance on the programme “Sprawdzam!” on RMF FM, Bartosz Grodecki clarified how CIA-related information reached the Polish president. He said Special Services Coordinator Tomasz Siemoniak had a meeting with the CIA director, after which he returned to Warsaw and contacted Grodecki to arrange a briefing. Grodecki conveyed the minister’s account to the president, confirming a flow of information between the government office and the head of state.
When asked whether a formal CIA report existed, Grodecki replied that no such paper was known to him and that the details were shared only verbally. This follows Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s earlier claim of receiving a “fairly precise” CIA briefing on potential security scenarios in the region.
